“Across The Colours”, Literacy In Schools
Across The Colours is a 1-page reference sheet for upper primary and secondary school students. It helps them identify colours better and use this list to define colours for different purposes. It will make their creative writing more colourful as well.
Parents, other adults and teachers can use this list. It is convenient and pitched at a suitable level for students in classes, small groups, or individuals in one to one teaching.
Across The Colours
Across The Colours is a 1-page list for use in Middle School years to help students with creative writing and other tasks. Children in Years 5 and 6 in Primary School can use this, as well as students in Years 7, 8 and 9. The list is suitable for school students.
What Is In Across The Colours
In three columns:
- the colours listed range from the reds through to the oranges and yellows,
- then browns, creams and greys,
- followed by blues and purples.
Who Uses Across The Colours
Parents or any adult teaching young people can download and print out. It is a handy list to keep in a folder. The purpose is to help students define colours.
